The Story
Foxlane Homes engaged Z. Domus Designs through a formalized design partnership for a new construction project in Wayne. The clients were empty nesters with strong design instincts and a clear vision: a home built around warmth, character, and how they actually live, not how a model home photographs. Foxlane wanted that vision executed without friction, and without the usual gap between what a client imagines and what ends up in the ground.
What We Did
Rose worked side by side with the Foxlane team and the clients throughout construction, not as a separate layer but as an extension of the build process. The clients led with a walnut kitchen, a bold departure from the typical white-cabinet default. Rose's job was to translate that single strong preference into a whole-home design language that held together. Fireplace tile with hand-selected character, copper-lined custom storage, a study repurposed as an entertaining lounge to keep the main floor social. Furnishings were added mid-construction and built directly on what had already been established.
The Result
A home that feels collected rather than constructed, as though it's always been this way. For Foxlane, a design partnership that elevated the client experience and produced a project neither party could have delivered alone.
